Vanity Curious about the Gold Curtain behind Obama

I googled all variations but could not find an answer. When Obama came out to speak about his stimulas package yesterday Weds Feb 28 ish there was this very bright Gold curtain behind him with what looked like the Pres. seal embossed on it. Is this new as I never noticed it with Bush. My taste is more in the earth tone decor so when I see lotsa Gold and Chandalier decor I really notice it cause I personally find it gaudy. Steel Curtain Yields 'Substantial' Weapons Caches

WASHINGTON, Nov. 8, 2005 – Iraqi soldiers and U.S. Marines have found numerous weapons caches - 17 of which were "substantial in size" -- during the four days of Operation Steel Curtain in Iraq's Anbar province, military officials reported today. ‘Steel Curtain’ drops on terrorists near Syrian border

AR RAMADI, Iraq (Army News Service, Nov. 8, 2005) -- Iraqi and U.S. Soldiers are fighting alongside Marines near the Iraq-Syria border in Operation Steel Curtain, which began over the weekend.
